Pricing.


EDITING

My pricing is simple: 1.5 cents ($.015) per word of editing.

If you aren't mathematically inclined (like me), some examples:
  • 100 words of editing = $1.50 
  • 1,000 words of editing = $15 
  • 10,000 words of editing = $150 
  • 100,000 words of editing = $1,500 
This includes three levels of editing:
  • The basic: grammar, spelling, tense, consistency, etc. 
  • The intermediate: word choice, run-on sentences, paragraph structure, eliminating "fluff" 
  • The advanced: overall structure of the entire work, chapter sequence and makeup, etc.
Additional details: 
  • You don't pay me until the work is complete. I trust you. I'm taking a chance, but again, I want you (the paying client) to be happy with the work. 
  • The timeframe is flexible. I will work with you and base it on when you need it. 
It's that simple. I accept payment via PayPal or a mailed check. I'm also working on Credit Card payment in the near future, so check back.

PROOFREADING 

This service encompasses just "the basic" level of editing listed above. Spelling, grammar, fact checking, etc. This takes much less time, and is much less involved, so is priced differently, and also has a quicker turnaround time.

I charge $25 for every hour of proofreading.

I'm fast. I'm efficient. I'll stay within quoted prices if you ask me how long something will take.

RESUME / COVER LETTER EDITING

I charge a flat fee of $30 for each document you send to me. So, if you'd like to send me a resume and a cover letter, that would be a total of $60. I'll work with you not only on grammar and spelling, but also finding the right hook for your cover letter and making sure your resume conveys exactly what you are trying to tell your potential employer.
